|K'inich Tatbu Skull III|
|K'INICH-[ta]JOLO:M. Drawing and transcription after Martin and Grube (2008).|
Maya ruler of Yaxchilan; dates of reign unknown.
This king's name glyph (as in the drawing above) appears in the headdress of a portrait worn as a belt ornament by Bird Jaguar III. Since such costume elements at Yaxchilan invariably identify the wearer's father, K'inich Tatbu Skull must have ruled before his son.
The foregoing is based on Chronicle of the Maya Kings and Queens by Simon Martin and Nikolai Grube (2008:120-122). They cite a presentation by David Stuart at the Hieroglyphic Forum of the Maya Meetings at the University of Texas at Austin, March 9-11.
