And there is some possibility that the king of Teotihuacan had married a woman of Tikal. At the Palenque Round Table in 1999, Simon Martin presented evidence that a Lady Baby Jaguar, who may have been the grandmother of Siyaj Chan K'awiil, was a noble of Tikal who bore the same name as a previous queen (and also that of one of the city's patron deities).
