Painted with mostly red and green pigments, using a technique known as "pseudo-cloisonné", this kind of highly ornamented conch trumpet must have been used in connection with ritual occasions, possibly even during the rites pertaining to an interment.
Late Pre-Classic to Early Classic periods (100 B.C.- 300 A.D.)
