Structure II - Facing Southeast
Walking around Structure V, you encounter Structure II,
one of the largest buildings at Calakmul.
No single photograph can capture the size of Structure II from the ground.
What appears to be the summit in this picture is actually Structure II-B,
a building constructed on one of the terraces of Structure II.
Behind Structure II-B, an entire pyramidal complex extends even higher.
