Structure III, Calakmul
This is an Early Classic platform and palace structure
that apparently holds very little Late Classic overburden.
A tomb was discovered inside with lavish grave
goods including intricate vessels, spondylus shell,
a stingray spine, a pearl, and 3 jade mosaic masks.
The tomb is thought to have been incorporated into
initial construction plans for this structure.
