Based on an observation by David Stuart regarding the component of this glyph with the T-shaped sign for ik', Simon Martin reads the whole glyph as 'u-SAK-NICH?-IK'-li / 'usak nich? ik'il / "his white flowery(?) breath" (Simon Martin, personal communication, 2000). This, with the preceding glyph (J10), is the death statement of K'inich Janahb' Pakal (Pacal the Great). The two glyphs together can be read as "his white flowery(?) breath was extinguished".
