Linda Schele (1988) comments: "itz'in is glossed by Barrera as 'younger brother.' It has the same meaning in proto-Cholan. Kan-Xul [K'inich K'an Joy Chitam II] was the younger brother of Chan-Bahlum [Kan Balam II]."
