Glyph M12

Mah K'ina Chan-Bahlum   --  Schele, 1988

This glyph, read k'inich-ka-kan-b'alam, is the name of K'inich Kan B'alam II (formerly known as Chan Bahlum II), the eldest son of Pacal the Great. The ka phonetic prefix makes it clear that the snake head is to be pronounced kan and not chan.
