In his sculptural portrait, Kan B'ahlam "wears a magnificent part-serpent, part-jaguar headdress. The same jester god as in the figures on the north and south ends of the sarcophagus perches on top of the jaguar head. ... [Kan B'ahlam] I and the northern figure on the west side (the first Pacal) are the only ones to wear goatees (Greene Robertson, 1983)."
