In conjunction with Mexico's Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia, PARI arranged with the National Geographic Society to bring in the latest non-invasive geophysical equipment to probe beneath the surface of Palenque in 1996, in preparation for the current dig. The photo shows some of the equipment in front of the Temple of the Foliated Cross.
