The view in this reconstruction is from standing in the doorway of Temple XIX looking north. Straight ahead is the Temple of the Cross. On the right is Temple XVIII, and on the left Temple XX, where Alfonso Morales and his Group of the Cross Project team are consolidating the exterior architecture before entering the painted tomb. Just beyond Temple XX is Temple XXI, site of the latest discovery. Of these structures, Temples XVII, XIX and XXI are all securely associated with Palenque ruler K'inich Ahkal Mo' Nahb' III.
