ITSIMTE

We had a few hair-raising experiences while doing rubbings. One was in El Peten when we were working at Itsimte. Upon our arrival, we im../../mediately discovered that a group of monument thieves were working at the site sawing up monuments with chain saws and using oil to pour into the saw cuts to make it easier to split the stelae.
